My monthly update for March. Added sites for two categories: Educational and Business. In business, entries for PCBS De Wegwijzer are updated. Also new designs are added for Hofjes Codden en Van Beresteijn and VvE Johan Basiushof. Also I added two school projects at the educational section (not worth mentioning any further IMO). The third vinyl that I bought on Tuesday is one by Andrea Doria vs LXR, called Beauty of Silence (Tiger Records, Germany). Absolute masterpiece by Doria I can tell you. I’ve never heard from this guy, but once you’ve heard the A-side, you’ll know why I love it. It has a vague connection with Adagio for Strings, by William Orbit, but that’s just our opinion though. Oh, before I forget; listen to it at Juno Records.
Also yesterday, I bought this very nice minimal EP called The Island, it’s produced by Gui Boratto and Martin Eyerer, and came out Feb. 18th on Audiomatique, Germany. Really love the A-side, you should check it at Juno, please. Also, the guy from 4DO recommended me another release by Boratto on Defrag Sound Processing, called Tales From The Lab (DFRG_23). Listen to it at Juno, it’s magical! The third release I bought will follow soon.
Being at my local record shop (4DO) today, I bought myself three 12″s, though I will start with one. This release by Phil Kieran, originally came out on Flying Cabbage (Jan. 28th). Again and Again is a masterpiece of minimal styles. It’s available for listen/purchase at Juno. Also I came across another EP from Kieran, called Missp. Really love the Pig and Dan remix on that vinyl. Here’s the Juno link for you. Tomorrow, more release news.
This one hasn’t been released officially yet (4DO says it’s due to drop next Tuesday), but I heard it on Wednesday’s episode of Mary Anne Hobbs’ show. She played the Chad Noir mix of Arne Michel‘s Danke/Goodbye (Lan Muzic Germany), and I was completely stunned! First of all, it’s not something you would expect from Radio 1′s Experimental, but apparently even MAH likes it. Classic! Sorry to say there’s no Juno link for you, but if it comes out, it can be found here. For curious people; it can be listened to at Ibiza Voice (or even better, at MAH’s site). Also, I’ve been checking out Halbzeit, also by Arne Michel, and it’s worth a listen too. Here’s the Juno link. I’m surely to buy both 12″s next week.
