Hervé, DatA, The Proxy
Daraja | June 2, 2008
Alright, part 4 of my Trashbags Kids blog posts. Previous parts can be found here [1, 2, 3]. I’m starting to get to the point where the artists get slightly less familiar with me, so hopefully I can still put them in a nice spot.
Starting of with Hervé (London, UK). I got to know him through the remix he did on Larry Tee‘s Licky (Work It Out) (featuring Princess Superstar), great release. The video of this clip can be viewed on YouTube by the way (well worth watching ^^;;). Other stuff I know from him are his remixes of Thriller, Salmon Dance (Chemical Brothers track), and many other songs. Anyway, take a look at Juno (and here too).
Second up, an artists I have not known that long. This guy is from Paris, France calls himself DatA, and is a typical example of the emerging French electro of today. I know he has two EPs out, called the Trop Laser EP (2006) and the Aerius Light EP (2007), both on the Ekler’o'shocK label (France). This is the same label as Danger‘s EP is out, which also explains the remix of 11H30. Check both releases at Juno.
Finally we come to The Proxy, Techno/Electro from Moscow, Russia. There are three releases out, called Destroy (2006), Decoy (2007), and Dance in Dark (2008). All on Turbo Recordings (Canada). Check his releases at Juno Dowload, as well. Plus, he has a new tune coming up, called Raven. You can listen to it a little from Boys Noize live set (Coachella 2008).
In continuation of my gigs post, I might as well add a little side note that I’ll be visiting
Though this may sound as another
