First heard on Tiësto’s Club Life, the Axwell remix of Adele‘s ‘Hometown Glory‘ (not on label). Though I’m not a big fan of Adele, I do like this remix by Axwell; nicely done. Especially the ‘Remode remix‘, which has less vocals, but more vibe.
Last week (22/23/24/25 October), the Amsterdam Dance Event was held. Unfortunately, I did not have the chance to go, because I was on holiday, for the greater part, and also did not have the money to go. Though last night, at the Melkweg, Amsterdam, there was a closing party called ‘This is Little Mountain Rocks‘, named after Sander Kleinenberg‘s label Little Mountain Recordings. This event was not that expensive, plus it had a really nice line-up: Sander Kleinenberg, Deadmau5, René Amesz, Patch Park, and others. Although I really enjoyed the other DJs, I came for the one and only Joel Zimmerman (a.k.a. Deadmau5). His set was amazing, just like his performance (yes, he wore the head gear, as can be seen below). I had a great night, and I am looking forward to the next Deadmau5 gig.

I haven’t posted in a while, since I was on vacation and whatnot. Now I’m back with this rarely fresh minimal/tech house track called ‘Trump It‘. It’s the first EP produced by the Dutch duo called Rauwkost, and it’s out on Thirtyonetwenty (Netherlands). Really love this track, and also its B-side is a good listen.
I’ve always had a weakness for Ida Engberg, because you don’t see the combination: looks, DJ, producer, and female very often. So I was visiting her MySpace again, since a long time, and noticed this track called ‘The Giant From Nibiru‘ (produced together with David West). Very nice track, so I decided to see which release features this. It’s not an EP, but actually a compilation album of Booka Shade‘s Get Physical Music (Berlin, Germany) called ‘The Full Body Workout volume 4‘. Which are available in two versions: GPMLP024, which contains 8 tracks and GPMCD02, which contains 14 tracks. Of course I prefer the latter, since it covers the double LP. It has some really nice tracks on there by artists I hadn’t heard of before. Anyway, this release is definitely worth checking out.
Today I decided to get rid of the default Kubrick theme, and start over with this slick Freshy theme (Julien De Luca, France). I chose for his Custom Dark Drax layout, since I find it really beautful. The header is taken from icewide77 (flickr). I hope you enjoy my site layout. Contact page is on its way. There are a few minor bugs in the design (dates are not always displayed on the front page, strange enough). But I’m working on that. Until then, enjoy your stay.
