Anton Pieete – Players

Daraja | December 15, 2008

Anton Pieete - PlayersA familiar name in the business, Anton Pieete, now comes with a new EP called ‘Players‘ (Intacto Records, Netherlands). This EP has already been played by big names like Sven Väth, Richie Hawtin, Dubfire, Adam Beyer, Karotte, 2000 and One, and Loco Dice. Anton Pieete has had massive previous successes with tunes like ‘Handsome‘, ‘The Shining‘, and ‘Time for Grace‘. Now this is certainly going to be a dance floor killer with the massive ‘I Do Not Want‘, ‘Last Night‘, and ‘Players‘.

Adam Beyer – Simulated Usage

Daraja | December 13, 2008

Adam Beyer - Simulated UsageTwo key players of the scene join forces on Figures sixteenth release. No one else than Adam Beyer and Luke Slater contribute tracks to this very special EP. ‘MOD‘ by Luke Slater‘s Planetary Assault Systems project takes off with a fast, breathless groove. Its force drags the dancers along, and the mesmerizing bleeps put everybody in a deep trance. Moreover, I like Adam Beyer ‘Simulated Usage‘, which surprises the crowd with its elegance and subtlety. Forming an irresistible funk, the fabric of the track interweaves various tiny elements. This savageness obviously manifests in his musical approach which can be characterized by his open-mindedness in regard to diverse influences, currents and styles. ‘Simulated Usage‘ is strong and joyful, it is techno in its best sense. Once again, Adam Beyer and Luke Slater manage to coin the face of contemporary club music.

Alter Breed – Teleskop EP

Daraja | December 7, 2008

Alter Breed - Teleskop EPDuring the past few years, Israel has been a sanctuary for emerging A-list producers, unleashing huge talents such as Guy J and Shlomi Aber (just to name a couple). Vik Shagal and Alex Krupenko, better known as Alter Breed, are surely the next big thing to come from the holy land; bringing to the table a very unique sound, which takes the subtle elements of progressive, techno and tech house, and breeds them into a chaotic storm of high-end club music. Their last EP, ‘Rush‘, got the remix treatment from big shots such as Jerome Isma-Ae and Luke Porter, and received support from big players across the globe. Their latest release, ‘Teleskop‘, on the high quality Tribal Vision (Czech Republic) imprint, is already turning heads across the scene.

P8 – 1986

Daraja | December 6, 2008

P8 presents his new release on Starlight (Italy). He has great feedbacks for his last work that climbed the download chart (top 10 progressive house with ‘Andromeda‘ and ‘Ocean‘) , supported by great DJs like Eric Morillo (on Subliminal Sessions), Markus Shulz (chart) , Eddie Thoneick , Roger Sanchez , Tiesto (Club Life), and the Flash Brothers. Now he’s presenting a wonderful release called ‘1986‘ with which he has a great track for all sets, for all club and radio set! By the way, the B-side contains a very interesting remix by Mooka.

Martinez – Momomowha

Daraja |

Martinez - MomomowhaAfter Gregor Tresher in spring 2008, Martin Swanstein alias Martinez is the next long time companion of the club scene to join Moon Harbour this year. The Copenhagen based DJ and producer has built up an impressive discography within the last seven years and affected the catalogue of labels like Guidance and Audiomatique decisively. With Out Of Orbit Recordings and Re:connected Martinez could also establish his own platforms. Known for excessive tech house tracks, Martinez reflects the typical Scandinavian club sound that captivates by both its deepness and its clarity. The enhancement of his music, which can already be witnessed on his ‘Retrospective EP‘ on 3rd Floor, is even more evident his Moon Harbour debut with ‘Momomowha‘.
