Charts Jan. 2009

Daraja | February 3, 2009

Although I thought January was not going to be a good month for charts, I still managed to make a top 10 (picked from 25 favourited tracks from this month). Again, it’s a mix from Progressive, Trance, Dubstep, House, Tech House, and Minimal. Unfortunately, there were too many tracks on my list for a year top 100 or something, and no time of sorting them. But I think ‘Trompeta‘ by Sis would have been my number one. Enjoy January’s list.

  1. Sukh Knight – Diesel Not Petrol [True Tiger Recordings]
  2. Stefanowitz – Laterr EP [Strøm Recordings]
  3. Rank 1 – L.E.D. There Be Light [High Contrast Recordings]
  4. Galluzzi Schneider – Albertino [Cadenza]
  5. Minilogue – Hispaniola (The Moles MMD mix) [Cocoon Recordings]
  6. Sia – Buttons (Jimmy Vallance remix) [Maelstrom Records]
  7. Jonas Steur – Simple Pleasures [Black Hole Recordings]
  8. Abel Ramos & Miss Melody – Rotterdam City Of Love (Axwell re-edit) [Axtone Records]
  9. Tiga – Mind Dimension 2 [Different]
  10. Sam Sharp – Roundabout (Sander van Doorn main mix) [Doorn Records]

Essential Mix Top 10

Daraja | November 24, 2008

I’ve been a happy listener of the BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix for quite a while now, and I’ve decided to post some content if a new Essential Mix is out. To give a sketch of what big artists have passed already, I will post my top 10 favourite Essential Mixes of the last two years:

  1. Sébastien Léger
  2. Fergie
  3. Booka Shade
  4. Laidback Luke
  5. Deadmau5
  6. Benga
  7. John O’Callaghan
  8. Paolo Mojo
  9. John Dahlbäck
  10. Umek

There are still many I haven’t listened to, because I’m only doing this since a year or so. Please be sure to also check out this week‘s Essential Mix by Loco Dice on the BBC iPlayer. In fact, listen to that every week! Unfortunately you won’t be able to listen to what I posted above, but if you do a good Google, you just might find it for download somewhere.
