Also heard this track whilst listening to Vincenzo’s DJ set at Blue, Miami (Sept 10th). This is the second track I noticed, which has a really good vibe. I had never heard from Lovebirds before, but apparently he has quite some EPs out already. Really love the original mix of ‘Gentle‘ (Teardrop Recordings). This EP also features two other tracks plus a remix of Ian Pooley. It’s worth while to check out!
First heard about Office Gossip whilst listening to Vincenzo‘s DJ set at Blue, Miami (Sept 10th). Really, really fell in love with ‘Strangers‘. So I started listening to the rest of the ‘Carbon Copy EP‘ (Winding Road Records, UK) and it is amazing! Two more tracks are on there called ‘Carbon Copy‘ and ‘Say It‘ (including a dub mix). You should really check this one out, because it’s massive. Best deep house I’ve heard since a very long time. Love it!
An artist I’d never heard from before, Proff, until Bart van Wissen made a remix from his new EP called ‘Breathe‘ (Brown Eyed Boyz Records, France). Very good track. Also the original mix is worth listening. Finally there are two more remixes by Dave Storm and Lanui, which I both do not like as much as the BvW remix.
Back once again, with something I got off of Shur-I-Kan’s MySpace. This artist goes by the name of Daniel Kyo, and apparently releases very, very deep stuff. Recently he released the ‘I Can EP‘ (Dark Energy Recordings, UK) on Beatport, which really blew me away. Such a smooth deep track. The EP comes with four tracks, ‘I Can‘ (in three versions) and ‘Shake It‘. A really good EP, which currently is only available for download at Beatport (exclusive). Enjoy this killer.
First heard this song on Shur-I-Kan‘s podcast of March 2009. I’ve fallen in love with its deep house sounds completely, very, very nice sound. It’s due to drop on Simple Records (UK) somewhere this week. From studying music at Oxford University, to starting one of the early live electronic acts (Beat Foundation) in the ’90s with Andy Cato of Groove Armada, to writing a string of underground club hits on his label Playtime, Mike Monday has consistently stood apart from the crowd. ‘Zwivetty‘ is just another masterpiece from his hand.
